The Jaeger 1 model mouthpiece is used for jazz and symphonic work. It's rim is slightly smaller than a standard 5 rim, and the cup is similar to an MD cup, with more of a V-shape at the bottom to add color and core to the sound. It has a 27-bore throat with a 9 backbore.

The Jaeger 2 model mouthpiece is a commercial and lead mouthpiece. It is a variation on the Maynard Ferguson signature top, with slightly more room in the cup. It has a 27-bore throat with a NY backbore, providing a resistance with a big, broad sound.
